SynapSense has established strategic partnerships with the utility companies in order to establish incentive programs in support of data center energy efficiency. Below are a number of utility companies which have established data center energy efficiency incentive programs, where SynapSense products and services have been approved.

Utility Incentive Programs

SynapSense has established strategic relationships with utility services companies which support environmental data center energy efficiency via rebate or incentive programs. In the utility map below you will find companies who will pay an incentive to the SynapSense Customer for energy savings resulting from use of our Solution.

Support a data center project grant as part of the custom grant project. This program pays up to 70% for cost effective projects. Available support for commercial customers for 50% cost shared energy study. Power Smart program is available to all commercial customers whose annual electricity bills total $50,000 or more and who have data centers containing more than 50 servers. General market commercial and custom programs available. Seattle City Light's Energy Smart Services offers financial incentives to help medium and large businesses reduce electricity use and save money. Incentive amounts can range as high as 70% of the installation cost, and are based on energy savings. EWEB can provide power measurements and incentive is based on life of the measure. EWEB will help pay for third party design assistance and commissioning for larger projects. ETO offers a variety of business focused energy efficiency and program assistance throughout Oregon. BPA is a wholesale power provider to over 130 customer utilities in the Pacific Northwest. Incentives are made available to customer utilities (lesser of $0.25/kWh or 70% of project cost). The Council develops and maintains a regional power plan and a fish and wildlife program to balance the Northwest's environment and energy needs. Northwest consumers and businesses have benefited from 264 average megawatts of energy savings through NEEA initiatives and related efforts - that's enough electricity to power more than 182,500 homes for a year. Energy Trust of Oregon offers cash-back incentives for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. Pacific Power offers a number of energy efficiency programs and services for new construction and retrofit projects to qualifying commercial, industrial and irrigation customers. General market commercial and custom programs available. Idaho Falls Power is offering rebates or zero interest loans to qualifying commercial customers to install efficient lighting and other electric energy conservation measures. Rocky Mountain Power knows what it takes to help your business reduce your energy consumption. We offer a number of wattsmart energy efficiency programs and services for new construction and retrofit projects to qualifying commercial customers. NV Energy offers incentives to help you upgrade your facilities so they can be as efficient as possible. $.08 per kWh up to 50% of project cost or $50K; $1k per sq ft up to $50K; $10K for SynapSense install & report Electric custom rebate = $0.10 per first year kilowatt-hour (kWh) savings. Natural Gas custom rebate = $1.00 per first year therm savings. The rebate is capped at 50% of the project cost. Emerging Tech & Energy Efficiency Program State of CA, UC or CSU $.24c per kWh saved up to 80% of project costs up to X$; Other core utility customers are $.08 per kWh up to 50% of project cost up to X$ The LADWP Custom Performance Program offers incentives for the installation of energy saving measures, equipment or systems that exceed Title 24 or minimum industry standards. Incentives are based on energy savings calculated by LADWP State of CA, UC or CSU $.24c per kWh saved up to 80% of project costs up to X$; Other core utility customers are $.08 per kWh up to 50% of project cost up to X$ The SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions rebate program enables you to increase energy efficiency and conservation and receive rebates. The standard rebate program cap is up to $100,000 per program year. Oncor is offering a limited time program, qualifying customers based on potential server virtualization projects, as well as energy reduction projects including HVAC and lighting retrofits. Oncor offers incentives for control jobs at $186.16 per kW. Up to $200,000 per site (per fiscal year) in rebates including any eligible bonus payments.  Requires a pre and post inspection. From online energy audits to lighting solutions, JEA offers tools that will help you diagnose problems, offer solutions and lower your utility bill. Duke Energy's Energy Efficiency programs offer your business more opportunities to save energy, increase your bottom line and improve the environment. NOVEC Solutions, a wholly-owned NOVEC affiliate, provides many value-added products and services to NOVEC's residential and business customers. ComEd's Smart Ideas for Your Business Program offers incentives for custom energy efficiency projects tailored to your situation. Qualifying projects can earn incentives of $.03 to $.07 per kWh saved, up to a maximum of $200,000. $.16 per kWh in ConEd territory and $.12 per kWh for the rest of the state (National Grid, etc). They will pay up to 50% of the total project costs. NYSERDA will also fund energy studies by up to 50% of the cost Lower operating costs and increased efficiency offer savings, a key component to success on Long Island. LIPA's incentives help to lower the cost of purchasing energy-efficient measures. ConEdison will recommend how you can achieve energy and financial savings with incentives of up to 70%. Energy efficiency and renewable energy provide reliable returns on investment, and now is a great time to take advantage of energy-related tax incentives as well as other incentives offers by your state, local government, or utility. Commercial Building Optimization Program. Lower your energy costs up to 15%.  Ensure optimum efficiency from your building and equipment. Under the Empower Program for Building Optimization, Hydro-Quebec offers eligible customers financial support for projects aimed at implementing electricity saving measures in buildings. Program is still in development.  Efficiency Vermont is currently working to support more efficient practices and equipment in existing and new data centers. All of NSTAR's Energy Efficiency programs help to maintain the integrity of our regional power supplies, as well as save customers money. $.16 per kWh in ConEd territory and $.12 per kWh for the rest of the state (National Grid, etc). They will pay up to 50% of the total project costs. NYSERDA will also fund energy studies by up to 50% of the cost (we can discuss this in detail as well). NEEP is a leader in the movement to build a cleaner environment and a more reliable and affordable energy system. Program starts with a study and review of data center efficiency potential and Xcel will pay rebates upgrades as projects are completed. Commercial prescriptive measures and custom measures available for data centers. A cleaner environment depends on making green power a larger portion of our electricity supply. All Wisconsin utilities must provide a small percentage of their electricity from renewable energy sources to meet the 2015 State requirement of 10%. The Standard Offer is a performance-based program that pays for measured energy savings over a contractual term. TVA's EnergyRight® Solutions can help you trim your power use and boost your savings Electric customers are eligible subject to the guidelines of Non-Residential Retrofit Demand Response (NRR-DR) program. $.08 per kWh up to 50% project cost or $500K Cash incentives for energy-saving improvements. Program is designed to support building efficiency improvements, save money and lower electric bills. The Electric Efficiency Program provides funding to help you conserve energy and reduce costs when you make improvements to existing commercial buildings or upgrade to more efficient equipment. APS Solutions for Business offers cash incentives, training, and energy information services to help non-residential customers to improve energy efficiency and reduce demand. When you add energy-efficient equipment to your building, you may qualify for an incentive based on verified kWh savings. To determine measures that would qualify for incentives, Grant PUD will need to conduct an energy analysis. Duke Energy's Energy Efficiency programs offer your business more opportunities to save energy, increase your bottom line and improve the environment. Commonwealth Edison. All commercial and industrial customers with a contract demand of 5,000 kilowatts or less, are eligible.  Large facilities such as schools, hospitals, office buildings, and warehouses are all potential candidates for this program.
