Assessment & Optimization Services

SynapSense offers a Data Center Assessment and Optimization Service to analyze and optimize your data center while increasing reliability, availability and capacity. SynapSense will conduct quarterly or yearly assessments and collaborate with you to optimize your data center, targeting up to 50 percent reduction in cooling energy. This service includes airflow optimization, utility rebate assistance, an ROI analysis and use of the SynapSense Data Center Monitoring and Energy Management Solution (wireless hardware, software, technology support and warranty). SynapSense will perform an on-site data center assessment to baseline current operating conditions.

Baseline metrics will include:

• Total IT load
• Total Cooling Capacity
• Estimated Cooling Efficiency
• Estimated Air Mixing
• Air Flow CFM, including Pressure Differential

Using industry best practices, SynapSense will provide a data driven optimization analysis and set of recommendations, detailing potential optimization opportunities, with corresponding cost, expected energy savings and overall return on investment (including payback period). 

Optimization recommendations may include:

• Rebalancing the raised floor
• Air mixing mitigation
• Matching cooling capacity to IT load

SynapSense industry experts will lead a collaborative effort to develop a project plan and provide expert consultation  for each recommendation outlined in the Optimization Analysis. We will also contact your utility to determine if there is a rebate or qualified incentive program available and if so, quantify what the potential rebate is.

The SynapSense Environmental Monitoring and Data Center Optimization Platform plays a critical role in the data center assessment and optimization process. The SynapSense solution will document baseline conditions and continuously monitor the data center during the optimization process. The solution not only documents improvements made against plan, but also offers a high degree of risk mitigation during the optimization process.

The Assessment and Optimization Service also includes:

• Rental of SynapSense Data Center Optimization Platform, including wireless nodes, software and hardware*

• SynapSense Technical support and software maintenance

SynapSense Assessment and Optimization Services are available on a cost-effective subscription or leasing model to provide a quick return on investment. 

SynapSense Assessment and Optimization Service is available for less than $1/per square foot, per quarter.  This includes hardware, software, assessment and optimization services as described above.

At customer request, SynapSense will provide a cost estimate for the remediation hardware, including blanking panels, floor tiles, etc.
