SynapSense™ Bolsters Data Center PowerImaging™ Solution With Branch Circuit Monitoring

BusinessWire - SynapSense(TM) Corporation, a leading provider of wireless instrumentation solutions, today introduced Branch Circuit Monitoring, extending the PowerImaging(TM) product line beyond power metering in its industry-leading Data Center Monitoring and Energy Management solution. The company made the announcement at the Data Center Dynamics conference. This capability offers data centers operators a critical tool to optimize the provisioning of power to server racks and the elimination of stranded power.

Combined with LiveImaging(TM), SynapSense's real-time data center thermal mapping capability, PowerImaging allows for monitoring of circuit and rack-level power, enabling phase balancing and identifying locations within the data center best suited for increased density of new servers. Without having knowledge of how much energy is being used by servers on each circuit, data center operators cannot optimize loading. With rack power visibility for all circuits, together with industry-standard power metering and environmentals, SynapSense customers have the most complete tool in the world for delivering a holistic view of all critical data center assets.
