BRIEF: Folsom's SynapSense Corp. to open Singapore office
Oct 19, 2011 (The Sacramento Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Folsom-based data center management firm SynapSense Corp. is expanding its operations to the greater Asia Pacific region.
As part of the expansion, SynapSense plans to open an office in Singapore that will serve as the company's Asia hub of operations.
The local company said the Singapore office will focus on providing technical support to existing customers as well as sales support for potential new customers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
SynapSense said it's also seeking candidates to expand its Asia team of project engineers, controls engineers and project managers.
The company announced in July that a portion of $16 million in financing would be used to further expand operations globally.
"SynapSense solutions are being rapidly adopted worldwide by leading data center operators seeking to optimize their energy efficiency, and our expansion to Asia will help us better support our growing list of customers and meet the surging demand for our technology in the region," said Peter Van Deventer, CEO of SynapSense.
