Engineering Manufacturing Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other projects/duties may be assigned.

Primary interface to contract manufacturers to provide support for day to day operations for both NPI and production products
Manage and monitor schedules and quality of work
Provide direct input and management of contracts, budgeting, costing models
Develop ‘Design For Manufacturability’ (DFM) guidelines in collaboration with contract manufacturers and drive reviews
Develop manufacturing process / procedures, rework instructions, cycle time analysis, and line balancing estimates
Define and assist in the development of procedural and automated manufacturing process and functional test solutions/fixtures
Develop and maintain summary reports for incoming and outgoing manufacturing quality metrics, defect pareto charts, and yield reports
Identify and manage the remediation process for all quality issues including root cause analysis and leading corrective action teams

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has contractual and supervisory responsibility of 3rd parties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills required to effectively manage projects from inception though end of life.
Thorough understanding of hardware and electronic manufacturing with experience in SMT processes (process/manufacturing engineering experience required) and manufacturing test of wireless products.
Supplier Management experience including contract development and review.
Experience with Change Control, ECO, PLM and BOM management required.
Exercises sound judgment and utilizes initiative and creativity to identify solutions and solve problems.
Conversational ability in Mandarin Chinese a plus.
